FSG 43 Pumps And Compressors

Federal Supply Group 43, Pumps and Compressors, encompasses devices and equipment that increase the pressure on a fluid and can transport the fluid through a pipe. Pumps are devices that use suction or pressure to raise or move fluids. Compressors are devices that increase the pressure by decreasing the volume. Note that FSG 43 does not include specifically designed pumps and compressors such as refrigeration compressors; laboratory jet pumps; laboratory centrifuges; and water purification filters.
