Federal Supply Code 4010, Chain and Wire Rope, encompasses general use chain and wire ropes, with attachments and/or terminations. Chains are series of flexible links and/or rings fitted into one another used for supporting, lifting, restraining, dragging or transmitting power. Wire ropes are formed from strands of twisted wire. FSC 4010 includes bead chains; weldless chains; single leg chain assemblies; wire ropes; wire cords; and single leg wire assemblies.
